Grand Supreme

Toddlers & Tiaras is one of my guilty pleasures.  On a gloomy day when the girls both take extra long naps, those RARE days, I'll click the OnDemand button on the remote and see if there's a new episode waiting for me.

I am not one of those moms.  I could never be one of those moms.  But.  I will tell you that if I was one of those moms, my girls would rock a pageant.

There, I said it.

Ellie has just the right combination of girly-girl, competitiveness and wanting to be on a stage that could make Eden Wood run for cover.  And sweet Madeline already has Ellie's dance routine moves down.  She can shake her booty in a tutu and demands a hair bow daily.

We did order a turquoise tulle and sequin costume for Ellie's first recital that bore a striking resemblance to a 'beauty wear' outfit on a recent episode, but that's as close as my girls will get to Toddlers & Tiaras.

Now I know I can't be the only one that A) watches this train wreck show and B) thinks their kids would rock in a hypothetical pageant.  Do you have an undiscovered Grand Supreme in your house, too?  Come on, be honest!

  2. Oh, absolutely. I'd never subject my kids to such ridiculousness...but Izzie would totally amaze them with her endless entertaining skills. ;)

  3. Those pageants make me a little nervous. Maybe living in the northwest gives me a different perspective, lol. I am sure my baby girl would kill any competition though. ;)

  4. Ha I just posted about this a couple of weeks ago. We love this show. My girls play "Toddlers and Tiaras" at home (hours of entertainment)and they always rock it!

  5. I saw a preview for a little McKenna, Mackenzie...whatever...who looked to be about four or five and she was screaming for her NeeNee. A pacifier. Those parents should get this all on DVD, they could bribe her well into adulthood.

Grand Supreme sounds like something you might order at Taco Bell, doesn't it?

  6. I LOVE it. The moms always say "She loves it. I'd never do this if she didn't love it".

Then they cut to a clip of the kid screaming "I HATE THIS! I WANT TO GO HOME!" LMAO!

  7. Guilty of the same pleasure!
Averi would rock them with her spunk and personality BUT the girly girl-ness...eh she's far from it. She hates dresses and wont even let me put lip gloss on her. lol. Oh well!
