Good-bye Terrible Two's and hello Tremendous Threes! or Terrific Threes! or whatever positive "t" adjective you want to substitute. I'm over the "terribles."
Two went by super fast and wasn't too terrible. Ellie has learned so much in the last year, most of it good. She's learned how to be a great big sister, how to ice skate (kind of!), how to swim, how to do art, how to have a sleep-over, how to get dressed, how to appreciate music from The Beatles to Beyonce and much much more.
Today is my last day - for the next 18 months - of having a two year old. I think we are both looking forward to what 3 brings - soccer, ballet class, preschool and many more adventures.
So here she is on her last day of being two:

And that is how she is most of the time. My fun, happy girl.
But just so we can all look back at the WHOLE truth, here she is in a not so great moment:
And that is the part I hope we say farewell to tomorrow!
Bring on three, we're ready!

Bring on three, we're ready!

And it feels like yesterday. I remember sitting at the laptop typing, taking the pictures, everything.
Three did bring so many great adventures for Ellie - which you can read about all over this site. Blogging is great! - and there is still so much more to come. Four will have the honor of her first dance recietal, pre-k and Kindergarten registration {yikes!}. She will also see her sister into her two's, have her first summer at Nonna & Poppa's beach house, learn to ride a two-wheeler and so much more.
Now our Elizabeth Grace says, "Are you SO proud of me?!" and "Do I make a good big girl?" She gives her sister the last mini pancake and is working on teaching her everything.
This week is the birthday extravaganza. Tomorrow will be cupcakes at dance class and out to dinner. Thursday we are celebrating with doughnuts at preschool and then the big party is Saturday. Sunday I'm thinking mimosas or bloody mary's. ;)
I will be back to post a picture of the last day of three. Watch our Four, here we come!
