I may have the only three year old girl who has begged to go fishing for months. Yesterday Ryan FINALLY took her to get her Barbie fishing pole - which they were sold out of so she picked a Princess one instead - and as soon as they got home ran out to the lake to try fishing.
Ten minutes later I get a phone call with Ryan yelling "Oh my God she caught a fish!!!! All by herself! With no bait!"

She was thrilled with the entire experience until it started flopping all around. Then she freaked out, called him slimy and said she didn't need to go fishing again. Such a girl! ;)
Good for her! My oldest is the tomboy of the 2, and can drive a kids' CAT skidsteer like she actually works on a construction site!

Yes, for the record I think fish are totally gross. You will not find Ellie and me alone with a fishing pole at the lake, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteAlso, the "FINALLY" in the post refers to the weather and has nothing to do with Ryan's parenting or desire to take her fishing. Is that better? ;)
