Etsy seller "sophiebelle's shop" says:
This item was created after a friend's son lost his beloved "Sophie the Giraffe" while out for a walk. He tossed it overboard when he was in his stroller, and his mom didn't notice. When she realized what happened, she tried to find Sophie the giraffe, but couldn't. Enter the Sophie Saver.
This is a wonderful longer fabric strap, measuring between 18-19 inches (when snapped). One end attaches to a snack cup, a pacifier or a small toy, and the other end securely attaches to a stroller or car seat. These are all things babies love to throw down, but don't fret, they won't go far. The longer length is good for smaller toys, which you wouldn't want to be so close to the child's face, and can also be tossed aside when interest wanes. Also great for the good ol' pacifier.
You'll find many uses for this wonderful strap...
I immediately call Ryan over to look at the picture.
As I say "This is genius!" Ryan, at the same time says, "Oh no! Don't do it, Sophie!"
I still think it's genius and might start stocking up on "Sophie Savers" since Sophie is my go-to baby gift these days. Maybe I would just attach it to one of Sophie's legs instead . Then it would just look like she decided to bungee jump instead. I think of Sophie as an adventurous type.

Oh my goodness I need one of those! We never ever leave home without Sophie!
ReplyDeleteGenius!!! I will have to get one!

ReplyDeleteI like your blog.
Stay tuned, giveaway coming soon!
ReplyDeleteawww that's a sweet picture and a very good idea.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have that when my children were babies but I tended not to let them take things that they didn't want to get lost out with them. Course my kids were blankie babies (all 3) so those were a little harder to lose.
Absolutely love the title and the photos at the top of your blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
Stopping by from SITS!!! Cute blog!
ReplyDeleteWish I had one of those when my kids were babies!
We never got a Sophie. I'm sure Mungee would love it though. Her friend A has one and was just nomming away at it! Definitely a good idea to have a "leash" for it. Those babies sure do love to throw things.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following us at Mungee and Me!
I coulda used that when I lost the only Barbie Doll in the house...in the snow...in the dark. I'm showing this to my host parents :-D
