As we were leaving the birthday party, Ellie grabbed her goodie bag off the front table as the mom whispered, "It's nothing too exciting" to me.
After Ellie was buckled in the car she oooh'd and ahhh'd over stickers, a twisty straw and other fun things. But then we heard a shriek from the back seat. "This is just what I've always wanted!!!!"
It was a magnifying glass. Shortly after arriving home, our girl went out exploring.

ReplyDeleteI'm loving how this post contrasts with your other post about not telling Ellie that you have a surprise for her....here was a simple thing, she didn't even know what was in the bag, and it was SUCH a huge hit! Even the party mom didn't think it was any big deal.
