Ellie wanted eggs for breakfast. I made eggs. She rejected them because of their 'brown spots.'
Ryan and I wanted French Toast. I made French Toast. Ellie wanted some of Ryan's so he shared. She put her plate in the sink.
So then, after tossing out two breakfasts, Ellie decides she wants oranges. Ryan explains that she has had the chance to eat two breakfasts already and that she's out of chances. That doesn't go over well.
After calming her down and going back to what we were all doing, Ellie starts asking for oranges again. We ignore the requests that are getting more and more dramatic.
Finally, Ellie throws her hands in the air and yells, "This is ridiculous!"
Ryan and I couldn't believe what had just come out of her mouth and started cracking up. And then I gave her some oranges. Not the best way of following through but we were laughing too hard to care.
Also this morning I tried to teach Ellie a few patriotic songs. The only one that caught on was Yankee Doodle Dandy. I'm already regretting that choice.
Happy Birthday, America!
We have tons of red, white and blue pics we'll share soon. And maybe a video of Ellie riding on a stick horse singing "Yankee Doodle Dandy." Maybe. ;)
Adding the hands to the statement is just TOO perfect! Hope you had a fun weekend!
