Rain Boots

Ellie peeked out of her curtains and then ran to her closet.

Grabbing the handles on each side she pulled on one, then the other.

After a little more shuffling in her walk-in, she quickly did the stairs and was standing by the back door before I could say "good morning."

Today is the day she has been waiting for.

The day where she can twirl her umbrella, jump in puddles and sing in the rain.

With the Coffemate not even stirred into my daily cup of Via, I opened the door to the deck and let her at it.  Ellie didn't care that she was still in her pj's and that her hair wasn't combed.  She was too busy jumping and splashing.

Eventually the rain ended and pancakes were calling her name, but she was sad to give up on her perfect rainy day.

  2. Love those boots! My little girl has Hello Kitty ones that she loves. She actually wears them even when it doesn't rain. She'll look at me all sweetly and say, "But Mommy, it COULD rain later!"

  5. Oh, how fun! So glad she had a chance to enjoy her rainy day. Love her adorable rain boots. Is there anything better than splashing in puddles?

  6. My kids are always outside in their pajamas. They've taken to sleeping in sundresses which really eliminates morning dressing. Handy really.

  9. That's the great thing about having a little girl, you can dress them up in the most beautiful outfits and accessories. I absolutely love the rainboots, they are adorable. I have two boys so I don't get to enjoy buying those kinds of things but I wouldn't trade my boys for the world.
