Sisters and preschool and dance lessons have really inspired Ellie to be into 'best friends.' She tells Madeline that she is her 'favorite best friend forever.' We recently met up with friends at the mall and Ellie and the other little girlies grabbed hands and were calling each other best friends.
Saturday Ryan took Ellie to a make up ballet class and a little girl from her preschool class was there. They were thrilled to see each other and couldn't stop hugging. The teacher had to tell them to keep their hands to themselves.
Today Ellie woke up coughing. Hard. For the 8th day. This is a new cough, not the croup cough of last week. After playing Cinderella in the steam for a bit we emerged and Ellie had a three and a half year old epiphany:
I think my cough and my runny nose are best friends.
Yes, you poor little sick thing, your cough and your cold are best friends. And hopefully they both will be taking a hike real soon.
On a related note, we might be able to win the prize for most consecutive weekly doctor visits. If I bring Ellie in this week to get rechecked I think we'll be four in a row with a follow up flu shot appointment already scheduled the week after. Is it spring yet?
At least she has Crane humidifier to help her sleep.
