Not my 7 pound Yorkie. Not my girls. Not my husband.
Who then could I possibly be speaking of?
Me. Yes, me. The mommy.
I know what you're thinking - no, that can be! The mommy is never spoiled rotten!
Well, my friends, this time it is true. I had a big birthday. A Golden Birthday. And now I am spoiled. Rotten.
Ryan and the girls splurged on my iPad and accessories. Then my parents gave me a huge chunk of birthday change. Deserving more than an honorable mention were the in-laws, grandparents, aunts and sister. Which when pooled together, gave me more than enough to get this:
Can you hear the angels singing? Yeah, it's even more awesome in person.
After all of this awesomeness for one 30 year old I started to feel a little guilty. But as I glanced over to the passenger seat of our SUV where the Coach bag was resting I decided to dismiss that thought. I deserve to be spoiled rotten, too.
Not all the time. I'm not going to go on a luxury shopping spree or anything crazy but I should be able to not feel guilty and just enjoy a few good gifts.
The mommy guilt is now banished and I am relishing in the fact that today, this day after my 30th birthday, I am spoiled rotten.
What have you done to spoil yourself lately?
Happy Birthday! I haven't done much to spoil myself lately, but I did win a $20 gift card to Amazon, and the host of the contest told me I better spend it on myself! I just don't know what to get.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to catching up on your posts. I've been behind :(
You so deserve to be spoiled!! Does this mean you will be able to retire the 2004 Express purse that was part of your birthday gift way back when? It's not a diaper bag and it bears your name...she was meant to be!! Love you, Mom
ReplyDeleteThe purse is breathtaking and you deserve it. Happy belated birthday! You have definitely inspired me to splurge on myself sometime soon. It has been awhile since I did something frivolous and expensive for myself.
ReplyDeleteIt's a timeless piece that will be with you for years. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWasn't it your sister that said a leather coach piece is an investment!! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Good for you for accepting a little spoiling now and then!
ReplyDeleteI had a wedding to go to on Saturday, so my mom and grandma watched my kids on Friday so I could go get a mani/pedi. That made me feel spoiled!
Ha! Yes, my sister always says hers is an investment piece so I'm right there with her now. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll be carrying it until at least 40!
Jealous!!! love it. You deserve it and I bet it looks super cool riding in the passenger seat. do you buckle her in? LOL.
