First Taste

Today we took a trip to the pediatrician for the girls 6 month and 3 year check ups. Our baby is a peanut in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. To compare, her big sis has been holding steady in the 90's for height and weight since 4 months! Can there be that big of a difference between formula fed and breastfed babies or is Madeline just picking up some of the shorter genes? Guess only time will tell!

At our appointment, Madeline got the go ahead for solids so we headed to the store and picked up some organic brown rice cereal with DHA and Probiotics. What a change in 2.5 years! Gerber didn't even have a DHA version of rice cereal yet with Ellie.

We waited for Ryan to come home and he fed Madeline her first meal. This (already abridged version) is a little long and includes a song and dance number by Ellie, but you will see how Maddie gets better and better. We knew she was ready, she almost took a bite out of my hot dog at Ellie's party!

So you can see our baby is growing up. Today rice cereal, in four days peas!
