Red Robin......Yummmmmmmm!

I'm not usually into Red Robin, but if you need a place to celebrate your child's birthday on their real day, which happens to not be birthday party day, I highly suggest it.

Every table in the restaurant had a kid having a birthday. I can't count on my hands how many times we heard their generic version of "Happy Birthday." Each time Ellie looked over her shoulder to see if they were coming to our table.

Ellie ordered herself two of her favorite foods - mac & cheese and mandarin oranges. And when the servers finally came - with Red Robin himself! - they brought her an ice cream sundae complete with multi colored sprinkles.

We left with a crazy looking fish won in the claw machine by Ryan, three balloons and a very happy 3 year old. It's a shame the red balloon escaped and flew high into the air when we were putting Ellie in her car seat. Otherwise it was the perfect night.

One last birthday snuggle before bed. We read Ellie's favorite new book "Llama Llama Red Pajamas" from Aunt Janice (you know, because Nonna was bit by a llama!) and then she was fast asleep.
