Over Easter weekend Ellie and Madeline shared a bedroom overnight for the first time. It went something like this:
Madeline: Eh-yee! Eh-yee!
Elizabeth: Shhh! Mads! You're waking me up!
Quiet for a few minutes, then:
Elizabeth: Mads! Are you awake Mads? It's so dark in here!
Pause for a reply, then:
Elizabeth: Mads, turn on your Sea Sea. Mads, turn on Sea Sea. Mads! Get up and turn on your Sea Sea! It's too dark in here!
Sea Sea, a Fisher Price Seahorse {similar to a Glow Worm} starts playing.
Elizabeth: Thanks Mads!
Madeline: Yur Elcome. Bye!
Elizabeth: Good night. Mwah!
The first time my sister and I ever shared a bed, we were on a beach trip and were probably 5 and 8. It was the first time we ever stayed in a motel. We get into bed and I must have rolled into her because she exclaimed, "Leigh! Pull you nightgown down like a lady!" Fun times :) Sweet moment!
ReplyDeleteso cute! My kids do pretty well when they are in the same room at their grandparents house. They are 3 1/2 and 2. It is funny to hear the conversations through the monitor.
ReplyDeleteThey could not be cuter!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww. I used to try to make my lil' sis stay awake if I couldn't sleep! hahaha
ReplyDeleteMy girls did this just once and very recently. Maddie does not fall asleep fast, and often talks and sings to herself to get to sleep. Needless to say, this caused a lot of fighting before they both fell asleep...nearly 2 hours later than normal.
