Imagine one of those.
Ellie is asking for breakfast while Madeline is screaming "Maaaammmmmaaaaa!" from her crib. The dog wants out and all I can really think about is making coffee ASAP.
I pluck Mads out of her crib, give her a quick snuggle and put her on the floor. Then I let the dog out, put my mug in the microwave, pour Ellie cereal and run into our closet to grab a hoodie.
As I walk out of our bedroom I see Madeline standing between the coffee table and couch. In front of her are the last bites of chocolate bunt cake I enjoyed the night before and forgot to put away before bed.
There is a full size fork in her mouth along with a huge piece of cake. Stopped in my tracks I stifle a giggle.
"Mads! What are you doing?!"
She takes the fork out of her mouth and looks me straight in the eye and says,
"I EAT CAKE."
Ellie walks by and adds, "I guess you do!"
How is your morning going?
that is hilarious!! ava is out little food scrounger too. we have to be ever vigilant on putting all food away when we are done because she WILL find it and she WILL eat it! madeline's commentary is too stinkin' cute and ellie's response would have had me rolling :) thanks for the early morning laughs!
