The morning of the makeup class we were rushing around trying to get out the door as always. Unlike preschool, all three of us need to be {somewhat} presentable since we hang out with the other mamas and babes during class. Plus we all need to learn the routine that will be performed LIVE! on stage in two months!
As I'm trying to blow dry my hair while Madeline is at my feet covering her ears, Ellie waltzes in the bathroom with Disney Princess lipstick. She gives me the cue to cut the blow dryer and then tells me she's ready for her lipstick.
Come again?
"Mama, I'm ready. Go ahead and put it on."
I look at her confused. Then I think I know where she's coming from.
"Ellie, sweetie, you only wear lipstick to the recital. You don't need it for regular class."
Totally annoyed with my incompetence, "Mommm-aaahhhh! This is the makeup class. You must wear makeup to the makeup class!"
Of course. Of course a four year old would think you wear makeup to the makeup class.
"Ellie, this makeup class is just a replacement class for the one you missed. It's not a wear makeup to class class."
"Oh. They should have just said that. Never mind."
I love her.
That is too cute!
